I have friends that play video games non-stop and they all have their headsets and talk to others playing at the same time through them. I think that the gaming company including Facebook in this process is only going to further progress the conversation, which is the goal of the company. The thing I'm not sure about and wouldn't want to assert is that gamers are going to like that Facebook is going to be on their game- anyone out there with feedback?
Once again, social networking is spreading everywhere! This article primarily interested me because it shows how limitless social networking is and how it fits into and compliments various forums. Social networking is enhancing experiences and building communities left and right. In reference to the video game the company is hoping to further intensify the gaming community by bringing Facebook into the arena.
That is very interesting--I hadn't heard of this before. It's so amazing just how much social media has infiltrated almost every aspect of our lives. I am not a video gamer myself, but this definitely caught my attention. I am on Facebook for much of the day, so this seems an interesting route to take my Facebook Experience. Who knows what social media media plans to take over next!
ReplyDeleteYeah I think that is the grounding behind this concept, so many people are avid and active Facebook users (myself included). Social media is only going to continue to progress and I am interested to see where it goes from here.
ReplyDeleteI think introducing even more games on Facebook is a bad idea. But that is just because I am sick of hanging out with some of my guy friends as they play video games allllll night long it drives me crazy. People also already spend too much time on Facebook as it is. If Facebook introduces more games in the mix, people may never get off the Internet and have a real life outside of their social media world. Good for Facebook, bad for friends of the game addicted.
ReplyDeleteOh, I can relate to that. My boyfriend and his friends are a bit too ecstatic about playing video games day in and day out, but from the view point of gamers (which I'm trying to encompass) I can see how this would be a good thing.
